You know the gentle and powerful healing energy and sound waves of our premium quality crystal bowls. Sometimes you need an explosion of sound to clear the air, strike a dramatic accent, just plain feel good. With our typical search for only the highest quality, we are pleased to offer you these fantastic gongs. They not only play powerfully and beautifully, but they look great too!
Each of these gongs is an authentic, Chinese Gong, made from TEN (10) different metals. Each gong is then hand-hammered and finally polished & smoothed on a lathe. Every gong includes a padded mallet style striker. All our gongs are deep; none are above 4th octave in resonance. Most are deep, 1st-3rd octaves. The larger the gong, the lower the octave (just like singing bowls).

Chao (Bulls Eye) Gong
This gong is in the traditional, old Chinese style called CHAO. The unpolished center and edges are actually the metal of the gong and give it the name 'bullseye'. (These are not imitation, black-painted brass gongs).
This gong has a "lip" -- a turned-back edge of approx. 1" - 1.25" that helps accent the deep, sustained sound and limits the overtones, keeping each gong to one predominant note. Very expressive and deep - played softly it sounds like a rumble, played strongly it is the sound of thunder. Very grounding and stabilizing.

Feng Luo (Wind) Gong
This gong is in the traditional, old Chinese style called FENG LUO.
It is completely polished and has no lip. This gong differs from the Chao Gong in that it has many overtones and is very dramatic----like the wind---can flutter or can thunder with the crack of lightning.
Very cleansing energy, like a lightning storm in the summer that makes the air clear and fresh.
